Scratch and Dent ChickSafe Advance Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener
Made in Britain
Description
New but Esthetically Substandard ChickSafe Advance Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener
Note: This incubator is in perfect working condition and comes with a full 3-year manufacturer's warranty but has some cosmetic defects (marks, scratches, etc.) or has been used for demo purposes.
The ChickSafe Advance automatic chicken coop door opener is a reliable system that automatically opens your coop door in the morning and closes it in the evening as light levels fall, keeping your birds safe and giving you peace of mind.
Easy Installation and Setup
Running on only 4 x AA batteries (included), the Advance hen house door opener is easy to fit to any chicken coop with a vertical sliding (or hinged) door. The all-in-one design simplifies setup - no messy wiring or limit switches to attach to your coop. Simply secure the control box to the front of your coop with the 2 screws provided, tie the lifting cord to your existing door, and you're ready to go. No manual calibration is necessary; the ChickSafe Advance automatically adjusts to the height of your hen house door.
Reliable and Weatherproof Mechanism
Like the Eco model, the ChickSafe Advance features a novel mechanism (patent pending) with only one moving part and no mechanical switches for ultimate reliability. Weatherproof and made from UV resistant materials, it is designed to work in extreme conditions and can lower and raise a door weighing up to 8 Lbs. It features an 'auto-stop' if a chicken is obstructing the door.
Light Level Detection and Sensitivity
ChickSafe works by detecting light levels and looking for slow changes in light, so it isn't affected by car headlights at night. The sensitivity of the falling light level is adjustable, and an indicator shows the door's status, battery level, or any faults. The battery level is also displayed on the digital screen.
Digital Controls and Programmable Timer
Unlike the entry-level Eco model, the ChickSafe Advance has fully digital menu-driven controls with a programmable real-time clock timer and full manual door control. Users can open or close the door at a set time and override the automatic system. With a simple press of a button, users can open or close the door or hold it in its current position until the override is switched off - handy for isolating birds in the hen house.
Weekend 'Lie-in' Feature
The ChickSafe Advance also features a unique weekend 'lie-in' option, allowing users to delay the door's opening on 2 days out of 7 to a selected time, keeping birds contained for longer at weekends.

Incubation FAQs
Q - Where can I get advice on hatching eggs, I've never tried it before?
A - All you need is in our Incubation Handbook, which is free to download.
Q - How do I prepare my incubator for hatching?
A - Please refer to Pre-season checks for your incubator, a comprehensive guide to preparing your incubator for hatching.
Q - How long can eggs be stored?
A - Most species may be safely stored for up to 10 days before serious reductions in hatch rates are likely but it is always best to set fertile eggs in an incubator within 24-48 hours of obtaining them. Daily turning of stored eggs also helps maintain hatchability. Store eggs in cool, damp conditions.
