Description

Building on years of incubator design, the all new revolutionary Ovation 56 EX Connect links the incubator to the Brinsea Connect app to allow both remote monitoring and full control of the incubator via a smartphone.

Convenience and complete control make the Ovation 56 EX Connect the ideal incubator for the serious breeder. All the functions of the incubator control are duplicated on the app so you can monitor and adjust temperature, humidity and turning and receive immediate notification of any incubator alarm providing reassurance of hatching success. The easy to use Connect app also includes extra features such as count down to hatch. The incubator control is unaffected if internet connection is lost. Updates to the Connect app will allow future features and functionality to be added to incubators as they become available.

Once you have downloaded the app to your smartphone all you need to do is scan the QR code on your product and register your incubator. The app then takes you through the set up step by step, connecting to your Wi-Fi network. Once setup is complete, you can either use the incubator buttons or your phone to make adjustments to your incubator. Any adjustments you make on the incubator show on your phone and vice versa.

The Ovation 56 EX Connect is an absolute game-changer! It takes a well-tested, reliable incubator and adds remote app access, which allows me to monitor and control the incubator from anywhere using my smartphone. With the app I can quickly check and/or adjust temperature, humidity, turning (on/off/interval), or adjust any of the other settings if needed—all from my phone! No more running back and forth to check on things! Setting up the incubator was simple, and connecting it to Wi-Fi was straightforward and easy. The interchangeable egg trays allow me to incubate both large and small eggs simultaneously, and I use the incubator to hatch chicken, duck, turkey eggs, and peafowl eggs. This is an incubator that I can recommend to anyone who wants the latest in connected incubator technology.

I was given the opportunity to try out an Ovation 56 Ex Connect incubator, which is controlled either manually or by using the Brinsea cell phone app. Immediately I noted the user-friendliness of the set up. Connecting the incubator to our home wifi and to my cell phone was quick and easy, and when I experienced an error code, a quick consult with the app had me straightened out in no time. I really appreciated having more control over the settings than in any incubator I have previously used. Being able to fine-tune the turn times and receive alarm notifications on my phone for humidity/temperature changes and power outages was particularly useful. I travel a lot to see my family and friends in neighboring provinces, and being able to monitor the progress and settings of this incubator over the internet while I was away gave me great peace of mind. What I found helpful in particular was when we have a power outage, I got an alert sent to my cell phone. I was the able to call our farm sitter and instruct them on how to connect the incubator to our secondary power source before the temperature even had a chance to drop. A few days before my hatch was complete, there was an unfortunate issue with the humidity level in the incubator. I couldn't get it straightened out on my own, so as a precaution I transferred the eggs from the Ovation 56 Ex Connect incubator to my original Ovation 56 Ex incubator I had standing by. The hatch was saved, and the issue with the Connect incubator was quickly resolved. Another bonus of having the incubator connected directly to wifi is that the company is able to update the programming remotely. I highly recommend Brinsea and their products, and will definitely be incorporating more of their accessories and supplies into my hatching practices!

My experience with the Connect Incubator was perfect. It arrived quickly and set up was minimal and easy. The app was very intuitive and I had everything figured out in just a few minutes. It was notable to me that the temperature and humidity during my incubation were literally exact, and also very steady. When I opened the lid to check or candle eggs, the incubator quickly returned to my settings when I put the lid back on. Another thing I really appreciated was the fact that I didn’t always have to refill wells with water. The tube humidity system is great. Overall, the incubator is solid, sturdy, and feels like it will last a long time. I also loved using the app. We get really busy with the other aspects of our farm and homestead and I appreciated that I could take a quick peek at my temp, humidity, and days to hatch anywhere I was. I was actually away from home the day I wanted to bump the humidity up when it was time for hatch lockdown and it was no big deal, it took me 30 seconds on my phone. I had a good hatch rate and have a new round of quail to lay eggs! I loved using this incubator and I can’t wait to hatch more batches out!

This is a marvelous incubator, very accurate and works like a charm, but over the top is the app. We were out of state mid-incubation and able to check our incubator which was so reassuring! If you want to make changes in the frequency of rotation, temperature, humidity, and more, it's so easy to do right from the app wherever you may be. It also lets you know what day you're on so you can keep apprised of when to candle them as well. This is a wonderful incubator that's easy and a pleasure to use and takes incubation to a higher level!

I wasn’t sure how the Brinsea Connect Incubator would work and must admit it is amazing. The two areas I found the most benefit in are: 1). The ability to head off any problems & 2). Peace of mind. Soon after we set our eggs we had some very strong storms. We lost power multiple times causing temperatures and humidity to change in the house. Some of these happened while I was at work and I was able to check on the eggs even while I was on the road. The app provided exact temperatures and humidity inside the incubator so I knew we were giving these eggs the best shot to hatch (11 of 12 hatched!). That all leads to an increased peace of mind. I travel a lot and to be able to check on and confirm the incubator is set and performing well puts my mind at ease.

The new Brinsea Connect Incubator provides peace of mind while hatching. Now, I can check on the incubator conditions remotely and even adjust the settings as needed! Brinsea really hit the mark with this one. You still get all the fantastic features that probably led you to Brinsea in the first place: it's easy to clean, great for viewing, and highly accurate. For the added features, it's well worth the small increase in price. 5 Stars from me!

I LOVE this incubator! The setup was super easy, the app guided you through everything. I almost thought I did something wrong, it was SO easy. It was very convenient to control the incubator from my phone even if I was standing in front of it. Bonus I knew I had chicks hatching while at work because the humidity level jumped past where I had it programmed to. If you want to step up production, it looks like you can run several incubators at the same time. The app connection changes the hatching experience in a fantastic way.

I am a long-time fan of Brinsea products and always recommend them if someone wants a long-lasting, quality incubator that consistently provides great hatch rates. I upgraded to the Ovation 56 EX Connect app controlled incubator after 10+ years of using the Octogon-20. I just completed my first hatch and had a greater than 85% hatch rate which is amazing considering the adverse events that led up to setting the eggs and during incubation. As a little background, the eggs were of unknown age. Clutches were found under barns and under bushes between two different farms. During incubation, we lost power no less than 7 times. Despite all of this, the eggs were pipping on day 18 and all fully hatched by day 20. So, what about the app? This may be a new feature, but it functions very well and was greatly appreciated for tracking events during incubation. I am one of those people that read the instruction manual front to back and I admit that all the steps to programing such a robust incubator manually was a bit daunting. In fact, it is what kept me from ordering one of these years ago. Now, with the app, you can intuitively change settings right from your phone! It was such a simple, seamless experience, and I cannot begin to say enough good things about it. The app is very simple, but it is reliable, easy to navigate, and works seamlessly with the incubator. All your settings stay where you put them, even when you lose power, and the alarms are awesome. The incubator features themselves are excellent. I really dislike having to make manual adjustments or turn eggs so, for me, a fully automated incubator is a must-have. The humidity control is the best part because I can never get it just right without that pump. It is amazing having your chicks not drown in the shell or get too dry to hatch during those last, sensitive lock-down days. I know a product like this is really expensive, but when you count the cost of buying eggs, or you need a regular supply of chicks, this incubator will make each hatch cost effective in the long run. Lastly, cleaning the incubator is something I take seriously. This is not quite as easy to clean as my Octogon-20, but it wasn't difficult either. I broke it down fully and wiped out all the little hatch debris, and sanitized the parts fully. It took about 30 minutes from start to finish and I am ready to hatch again. A worth-while purchase any hatcher will appreciate.
